KSS(U) chart error

In the chart for Kirby Super Star (Ultra) it says that Wham Bam ROCK appears in HtH and TTA. He appears in TGCO, TA, and HtH. Can someone please fix it? Pinkyoshifan (talk) 22:51, 21 February 2019 (UTC)

Meaning of "goad" & Combo Cannon name

FYI, "goad" means something along the lines of "incite" or "provoke", and can also be used to mean "lure". Also, isn't "Main Cannon #2" a mistranslation that got corrected in future games? --Luigifan18 (talk) 14:40, 16 May 2024 (UTC)

I googled it to find out. However, I also noticed it is a very rare word in English. We should avoid using obscure words that would make readers confused or have to search their meanings. In the case of Main Cannon #2, it isn't exactly a mistranslation, but our de facto policy is to use that when talking about KSSU specifically and use Combo Cannon otherwise. StarPunch (talk) 19:54, 16 May 2024 (UTC)

Fair enough on the use of "Main Cannon #2" in the context of Kirby Super Star Ultra. The reason I listed both names is because that boss is called "Combo Cannon" in the original Kirby Super Star, and this article is covering both of them simultaneously. Just calling it "Combo Cannon" would have been confusing next to an image calling it "Main Cannon #2" (and it is officially referred to as "Main Cannon #2" in KSSU), thus the need to specify both names applying to the same boss.

I also think "goad" is a better choice of word than "make" because the latter would imply Kirby somehow grabbing onto the laser cannon and physically and forcibly adjusting its aim to make it to fire on the Reactor, which isn't possible to do in-game; the strategy is to position Kirby between the laser cannon and the reactor so that the laser ends up aiming at the reactor in the process of aiming at Kirby. Thus, it would be more accurate to say that Kirby lures the laser into firing where he wants it to fire instead of Kirby physically making the laser fire where he wants it to fire. I hope that reasoning makes sense as to why the existing choice of words is bad. --Luigifan18 (talk) 02:43, 17 May 2024 (UTC)

I can see your reasoning there, but I also agree with Gigi that "goad" is a bit too uncommon a word these days, and we do have a lot of readers for which English is not their first language, so helping them out wherever possible should be a consideration. Perhaps it might be good to phrase it as follows: "The only way to damage the Reactor is to have its laser gun which aims at Kirby accidentally hit the Reactor's core instead". --Samwell (talk) 02:47, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
