- This article is about the imprisoned Cappy character in Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, and should not be confused with Dogon.
Doron is a Cappy and a minor supporting character in the anime series Kirby: Right Back at Ya!. He is a relatively silent character who spends most of his time inside the jail cell in Chief Bookem's police station. In the rare scenes where he is outside the cell, he is usually committing some sort of crime; typically theft. Doron's only significant role in the series is in the episode The Thing About the Ring, where he attempts to steal Sir Ebrum's engagement ring after it had already passed through several other characters' hands. He eventually ends up having to give it up when Kirby threatens to inhale him.
Doron has few distinguishing features, though his round goatee is the main one. He also has three thin strands of hair on his head. He has very little dialogue, usually only responding with "uh-huh" or "uh-uh" to yes and no questions. In the Japanese version, he is almost completely silent. He seems to only be interested in committing theft, which results in him being more-or-less constantly incarcerated in the police station. While there, however, he is mild-mannered and even gets along with Chief Bookem to a certain degree.

Kirby manages to stop Doron getting away, but the ring is lost in the process. Later on, Chief Bookem and the others interrogate Doron about the ring's whereabouts after locking him back up, but he has nothing to say about it. Chief Bookem then tows Doron around town to aid in searching for the ring, but eventually manages to get away from Bookem again. When Kirby manages to get the ring back from Tokkori, Doron steals it again, but is then shortly apprehended by the monster Honker Stomper and carried away.
Later on, when Kirby and Honker Stomper are battling over the stolen pile of jewelry at Castle Dedede, Doron is revealed to have been buried in the pile. Once uncovered, he gets pulled to and fro by the competing inhales until Kirby is momentarily distracted, causing Honker Stomper to once again catch Doron with his nostrils. After Tuff throws pepper into Honker Stomper's nose, the monster sneezes Doron out, and he flies out the window along with Kirby. While in the air, Kirby threatens to inhale Doron if he doesn't give up the ring, but this ultimately leads to the ring being lost to a fish when Kirby and Doron fall in the river. At the end of the episode, after the ring is fortuitously recovered, Doron can be seen at Kawasaki's restaurant along with Chief Bookem, apparently without further consequence. |
