Helpless, Kirby watches the witch escape... Looking down in shame, he sees the witch's Magical Paintbrush... Kirby touches the rainbow brush and... It transports to you on a ray of light!
— The narrator in [[Kirby: Canvas Curse|Template:KCC KPP]]

The Magical Paintbrush (otherwise known as the Power Paintbrush) is an object which allows the player to draw Rainbow Lines for Ball Kirby and the other characters in [[Kirby: Canvas Curse|Template:KCC KPP]]. It is an object that astutely breaks the fourth wall, as the game itself implies that the brush is in the player's hands (as the Nintendo DS stylus). The lines drawn by the Magical Paintbrush are used by Kirby to navigate the stages, and can also be used to block harmful hazards like laser beams.

The Magical Paintbrush is described in-game as having sentience, wishing to help Kirby defeat Drawcia and return the world to the way it should be. As such, it shows up to help Kirby navigate without his limbs by painting rainbow lines for him (with the implied help of the player).

The Magical Paintbrush also cameos as a Treasure in The Great Cave Offensive in Kirby Super Star Ultra and as a Keychain in Kirby: Triple Deluxe.
