This article is about the large purple bat enemy from Kirby Mass Attack, and should not be confused with Batty, Battins, Buzzybat, or Pricklebat.
It's said that the huge Battybat guards a medal. I've heard he makes his home in a damp place, and there's a very damp spot around here where it rains. There's a cannon near that area, but don't use it, or you'll never find Battybat.
— Daroach, regarding the Battybat in Green Grounds - Stage 4

Battybat is a large flying enemy appearing only in Kirby Mass Attack. His basic appearance is that of a spherical, purple bat with pink eyes, a massive red mouth, two small fangs, and little pink horns. He presents an orchid pattern atop his head.

Battybat's main attack pattern consists of him trying to attack the Kirbys by flying above them and snatching one up in his jaws. When this happens, the other Kirbys must attack him before he causes damage. If Battybat misses the Kirbys, his jaws will get stuck in the ground, giving the Kirbys a big opening to defeat him. Defeating Battybat confers 500 points onto the player.
