Boost Orbs are items which can be equipped prior to battles in Kirby: Battle Royale. Up to three can be equipped at any one time, and they boost the abilities of Kirby in various ways. To use the orbs in battle, the unknown reader has to tap them on the bottom screen of the Nintendo 3DS during the match. In multi-round scenarios, Boost Orbs used will not be replaced, and they cannot be swapped out for different ones in-between rounds.
There are several different types of Boost Orbs, unlocked as Kirby progresses trough the Platinum League of Dedede's Cake Royale. They are as follows (in-game flavTemplate:Our text in italics):
- Super Charge - Widens charge-attack range and raises attack strength by 20% for 15 seconds.
- Big Speed Boost - Increases movement speed by 50% for 15 seconds.
- Quick Charge - Halves charging time for 15 seconds.
- Maxim Tomato - Recovers all health.
- Metal - Protects you for 10 seconds, but you're heavier and less mobile.
- Big Attack - Increases attack strength by 40% for 15 seconds.
