|In this episode, Whispy Woods is introduced as the guardian of the forest in Dream Land which bears his name. He protects it via mysterious means, causing any trespassers to become lost and unable to find their way out. King Dedede plans on chopping down Whispy Woods' Forest in order to build a country club, so he hatches a plan to make Whispy Woods believe that Kirby and his friends seek to do him harm. Whispy falls for this and, after trapping Kirby and co. inside the forest, he buries them in a pile of apples. In doing so, however, Whispy leaves himself momentarily defenseless; just long enough for King Dedede to step in and use a chainsaw to cut down Whispy Woods, allowing him to then clear-cut the entire forest with impunity.
Later on, it is revealed that one of Whispy Woods' errant apples could be used to revive him, and Kirby has to spend some time looking inside himself for the correct one while King Dedede celebrates the opening of his golf course. Kirby finds it just in time and spits it out, where it then implants into the soil. From here, it rapidly regrows into Whispy Woods, who then takes King Dedede's hammer and uses it to punish King Dedede and regrow the forest over the golf course by batting more apples around. Once the forest is restored, Kirby and co. reconcile with Whispy Woods—their misunderstanding cleared up—while both King Dedede and Escargoon are punished by being stranded in Whispy Woods' Forest with no clear way out.

|In this episode, Kirby and co. visit Whispy Woods in the forest, and soon discover that a small flower has grown in Whispy's grove. Whispy quickly becomes infatuated with this flower (naming it [[Lovely]]), and Kirby and co. agree to help protect it from the elements so that it can flourish. Learning of this, King Dedede hatches a plan to get back at Whispy Woods by stealing Lovely and having Night Mare Enterprises turn it into a monster. This ends up working despite Kirby and co.'s efforts to stop it, and the flower—now transformed—grows a face and starts sweet-talking Whispy Woods, infatuating him further. Meanwhile, Lovely is using her roots to sap Whispy Woods' life force slowly, intent on starving him and causing him to wilt. Tiff starts to notice this and tries to get rid of Lovely, but Whispy Woods stops her in the act.
All seems lost as Lovely transforms into a giant monster flower and intensifies her draining of Whispy's life force, but eventually Lovely loses Whispy's favor when she tries to attack Kirby and co. Kirby uses the opening to swallow one of Lovely's razor petals and gain the [[Cutter]] ability, using it to finish off the flower, causing her to wilt. Later on, when Whispy Woods has recovered, the remains of the monster Lovely are replaced with a hearty patch of harmless flowers.

|At the start of this episode, Whispy Woods informs Kirby and his friends about [[Acore]], and expresses his concern for the old tree's well-being. Whispy asks Kirby and co. to visit Acore and make sure he is okay while he hibernates. After this point, Whispy Woods is not seen again.

|Whispy Woods makes an appearance towards the end of this episode, as the wildfire started by King Dedede and Escargoon begins to approach his grove. He appears to have accepted his fate, and instead tries to set up a barrier around Lovely to try and shield her from the flames. When King Dedede and Escargoon run into the grove by accident while trying to escape the flames, Whispy Woods correctly assumes them to be responsible and hoists the two up using his roots, making sure they are taken with him in the fire. Just as the fire starts to lick at Whispy, however, they are all saved when [[Tornado]] Kirby creates a rainstorm to put out the blaze. Whispy Woods later participates in the punishment placed on King Dedede and Escargoon by forcing them to replant all the trees that were burnt down in the fire.
