"Level 6 Map Select"[Japanese title] is a level hub theme that plays in the Orange Ocean hub in Kirby's Adventure. It was composed by Hirokazu Ando, the game's lead composer.

Composition[edit]

It is a 19-second-long theme which appears to be in G major. This theme sounds fairly relaxing and slow-paced, fit for a beach-themed level. It features the lead note playing a long-spread melody with the backup accompaniment playing four notes in repetition (D-G-A-D) and rhythmic percussion that gives off a feeling of calypso.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby's Adventure / Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land[edit]

"Level 6 Map Select" has made its original appearance in Kirby's Adventure as a hub world theme and is named track 15 in the game's Sound Test.

In Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, it is track 32 in the remake's Sound Test and was arranged by Jun Ishikawa with updated Game Boy Advance instrumentation to further illustrate the calypso-like atmosphere it displays.
