Bouncing Boss Battle is the fourth stage in Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe. It is a brisk-tempo stage set to a rearrangement of Bouncing Boss Battle which introduces blindfold banners.

Overview[edit]

This stage spans a total of 67 drums from beginning to end. The stage throws King Dedede into the action relatively quickly by having him dodge some Waddle Dees and jump for a gong. Further in, Dedede will need to contend with some bumpers, Gordos, and clouds that will obscure certain course elements. Past the Recovery Ring, some Comos will need to be leapt around and then a blindfold banner will need to be contended with. All these course elements come together for the final stretch of the stage, and the goal drum can be reached shortly thereafter.

Secret version[edit]

So many blindfold banners, you can barely see a thing! Watch out for the Big Gordos!

The secret version of this stage bears an entirely different layout. It spans a total of 51 drums, with a few wide gaps between them. The stage starts right away with a blindfold banner and some Waddle Dees to contend with before moving into a big field of Gordos that need to be avoided. Coins and Gordos are placed in such a way that careful airborne maneuvering is needed to grab some of them, and all the while, blindfold banners continue to appear along the length of the stage. Lots of Comos appear toward the end of the stage that will need to be dealt with to get the coins they are guarding.

Trivia[edit]

  • Near the end of the stage, a keychain of Kirby's sprite from Kirby's Adventure can be found in the lower screen just a few hops away from the goal drum.
    • In the secret version of the stage, a keychain of Meta Knight Ball from Kirby: Canvas Curse can be found underneath a ferris wheel in the background past the halfway point of the stage, in the lower screen.
