Cupid (referred to as Angel in Kirby: Triple Deluxe) is a Copy Ability that first appeared in Kirby & The Amazing Mirror. It also appears in Kirby: Squeak Squad. Kirby receives this ability by sucking up and swallowing a Cupie. While Kirby has the Cupid ability, he possesses a halo and a set of wings, along with a bow and arrows with heart-shaped tips. Using these, he can gently fly through the air while raining arrows down on enemies. These arrows do not travel quite as far or fast as those of the later Archer ability - as they can only travel so far before starting to fall downward - so Kirby will often need to position himself to let his arrows drop on opponents from a safe angle.

Its flight speed has also been decreased.

Trivia[edit]

  • In some spin-offs like Kirby Mass Attack, Kirby Fighters Deluxe, and Kirby Fighters 2, when a Kirby is defeated and fainted, an angel-like spirit will be released out of his body which resembles Cupid Kirby but is ghostly white and without the bow and arrow.
  • In the Japanese games, the pause description describes that the Cupid ability is like a demon, which is possibly a homage to Kirby's alias "The Pink Demon".[1]
