Help about the Delfino font[edit]
Hi there! - you can stylize your fonts any way you like using CSS. You can also use this template to use the font seen on the Main and About pages. –Wiz (talk · edits) 23:35, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
Thank you! I've been wondering how to do it, as sunshine was one of my favorite games as a kid, and I still love it now. I'm probably gonna use it all over my talk and user pages now lol. --yours truly, Jeradna 23:42, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
- A piece of advice - it's better to have your custom signature transcluded; like I do mine at User:Vipz/sig, then insert {{User:Vipz/sig}} in preferences. It's also of practice to indent your replies with a colon before the paragraph. And no problem, anytime. –Wiz (talk · edits) 23:52, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
- WiKirby has some great help pages which I recommend you to check. Such as Help:Tables. –Wiz (talk · edits) 00:51, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
Large number of userspace edits[edit]
Hey there, Jeradna. I've noticed that you have really only edited your userpage here, and uploaded a file for it, and you have yet to actually contribute to the wiki in mainspace. WiKirby, and any wiki you visit, is not the place for you to simply create a page for yourself, and for that reason we only allow users to create their userpage after they made five edits. You managed to go around that with the Sandbox and editing your talk page, and that is certainly not to a good thing to do. So I will ask you to stop editing your userpage and contribute to the wiki; if you're not sure where to start, check this page. If you don't, I will have no choice but to protect your userpage until you do so. Thanks. - Gigi (talk • edits) 16:24, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
- oop, sorry. I've been kinda focused on my User page and I forgot about the rest of the wiki! I'll see what I can do. Also, technically I did contribute, but I hadn't signed up yet. Not trying to be petty about it though. --yours truly, Jeradna 16:28, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
- You aren't obligated to edit at this very moment if you'd rather not. No pressure. Gigi was just saying if/when you do wish to edit, it would be appropriate for you to edit a page outside of your userpage.
If you have a program for editing images, you could save your image in it (without making any actual changes) and change the file extension in the process. -- Jellytost♡ (talk) 17:19, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
- Also, .jpg and .jpeg are the same type of file. Double check to make sure you changed the file extension of any images you tried to upload to .jpg. --kirb 17:29, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
- It's good to keep in mind that editing a wiki has a learning curve to it, so don't feel bad if you're not sure exactly what to do. I had similar difficulties at first. Maybe for now while we don't really know how to solve this problem - unless you want a breather which would also be fine - you could opt to check around for messy writing instead and maybe try to upload those images another time on a PC if you have one of those. -- Jellytost♡ (talk) 18:13, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
When you upload a file, you have to choose what you want to call it, and it can be different than the original filename. Even if the file says .jpeg you can change it to .jpg on the upload screen in the "destination filename" box. --kirb 18:17, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
- the upload page says the following, word for word (just copied/pasted it here): ".jpeg" is not a permitted file type. Permitted file types are png, gif, jpg, svg, mov, mp3, mp4, oga, ogg, ogv, wav.
Source file Source filename: maxresdefault.jpg Permitted file types: png, gif, jpg, svg, mov, mp3, mp4, oga, ogg, ogv, wav. --yours truly, Jeradna 18:34, 7 October 2021 (UTC) I could also use a breather. This wiki is the first wiki I've actually been able to edit, and there are a lot of things I have no idea about --yours truly, Jeradna 18:39, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
I finally figured it out. I just had to add ".jpg" to the end of the destination filename, even though the file already said it was a jpg
