This article is about the music used during Zero's boss battle in Kirby's Dream Land 3. For the music used during 0²'s boss battle in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, see 0² Battle.

"Vs. Zero"[conjectural title] is a theme that plays during Zero's boss battle in Kirby's Dream Land 3.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby and Gooey versus Zero.

Kirby's Dream Land 3[edit]

The theme first appears in Kirby's Dream Land 3 during Zero's boss battle in Hyper Zone. It can be found as Track 24 in the Sound Test.

Kirby Star Allies[edit]

In Version 4.0.0., a notably slower remix of the theme is featured for the "Bad Boss Brothers" Celebration Picture. It is arranged by its original composer, Jun Ishikawa, and can be found as Track 230 in the Jukebox.

Kirby's Dream Buffet[edit]

The original version from Kirby's Dream Land 3, named Kirby's Dream Land 3: Memorial Song 2 in-game, is unlocked for potential use in races and Free Rolling upon reaching Gourmet Rank 123.

Other appearances[edit]

The theme is the first song featured in Track 10: Monochrome Blend alongside Dark Nebula Battle of The Sound of Kirby Café 2. It has a slow tempo similar to the "Bad Boss Brothers" arrangement, and the main melody of the track is mostly played on a saxophone.

Trivia[edit]

  • In the original version of the song, one of the backing channels at the end of the loop doesn't play as intended — it overflows on some notes, briefly going from a high pitch to a low pitch. This is because Jun Ishikawa used a bass instrument and went above the maximum pitch for said instrument.[1]
