Neo Star - Stage 1 is the first stage of Neo Star in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. It features very thick jungle vegetation and tall cliffs.
Overview
The stage begins in a thick jungle. Kirby progresses to the right past tree stumps and floor traps that open up into pits.
The next area is a tall cliff-face on both sides. Kirby has to ascend this, while avoiding the barrage of more enemies.
From there, Kirby will have to progress by jumping across vines. Near the end, the vines start to move very fast.
In the following room, Kirby must contend with a mid-boss version of Galbo, while its Yariko minions toss spears at him. Defeating it opens the way forward.
The following area has Kirby jumping between various logs suspended by vines. Some of these platforms are unstable, and will fall into the bottomless pit below.
In the last area, Kirby can use an Invincible Candy to rush across the clifftops. The stage exit can be found to the right.
Crystal Shard guide
- The first shard is hidden underneath a grass trap in the first area. Kirby should be careful though, as the others have Spike pits.
- The second shard is located at the bottom of the cliff in the next area.
- The third crystal can be found hiding in the canopy, above a circular log platform.
