m (It's not really a mid-boss per se, more like a unique enemy (as it also appears in challenge stages too). I think the only enemy that could be adequately described as a mid-boss is the Deepsee, solely because of the health bar.)

Mecha Cotta is an enemy and a form of Coota that first appears in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. It has no attacks of its own, and simply wanders around aimlessly. Its body consists of three parts: its face, its top, and its back. Destroying each part reveals an electric hazard on the inside. Mecha Cotta is defeated once all three parts of its outer shell are destroyed; the face taking four hits and the other two sections taking two hits each. This also awards 500 points and 10 Point Stars.

  • Mecha Cotta's Figurine suggests that it is powered by the electric fields generated by Bzztbulbs, but it is unclear how this process is done or how the energy is stored.
