Wild Edge is a variant of Gigant Edge who appears as a Mid-Boss in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. He resembles his normal counterpart, but has war paint on his armor and bears a fur collar around his neck. He also wields a stone sword and a spiky riot shield. The Gigant Sword ability is based on Wild Edge.

Locations

Wild Edge is known to appear in the following stages:

Attacks

Wild Edge in Downtown Grassland has 450 HP (Star Bullet=80), and he enters Phase 2 when his HP is below 55%. He takes 0.2× damage when he roars during the beginning of Phase 1 and Phase 2.[1]

Wild Edge has a few different moves as follows (attack names are conjectural). Attacks in italics are only used in Phase 2.:

Attack Description Variants
Overhead Slash Wild Edge performs a large vertical slash with his sword which hits the ground, creating two Drop Stars. He may perform up to three of these in succession.
Lateral Slash Wild Edge performs a big lateral swing with his sword. This attack is not used in all of Wild Edge's battles.
Charge Wild Edge pulls out his sword and runs with it ahead of him for a while. When he stops, he leaves two Drop Stars behind and staggers for a moment.
Guard Wild Edge brings up his shield and raises his defenses. Attacks from the front will do nothing, but if he his hit from behind, he will be stunned for a moment and take 2.0× damage, leaving two Drop Stars as well. Stunning him during Phase 1 may enable Kirby to defeat him via skipping Phase 2. When his health is low, Wild Edge may move slowly forward while using this move.

Trivia

  • Much like with Gorimondo, Wild Edge is also weak to Ice attacks and will gradually slow down before getting frozen if hit with prolonged Ice attacks. Upon breaking out, the mid-boss will suffer heavy damage.[2]
