"Exotic Pyramid" is a theme from Kirby's Return to Dream Land and its remake that plays in the third stage of Raisin Ruins. It was composed by Jun Ishikawa.[1] This theme is the 22nd theme (30th in the remake) in the Jukebox.
Composition[edit]
"Exotic Pyramid" is an energetic theme in A minor, 4/4. It starts with a brief percussive intro. Its melody is syncopated and short in range, as each phrase consists of second intonations going back and forth. The rhythmical pattern stays the same for the majority of the piece, albeit with variations; as such, it has a restless feel. The instruments become more intense and the pitch gradually rises and peaks at an F-sharp. The climax and middle section has stronger and less frequent beats, and its melody has rising seconds rather than descending ones. It plays twice, each time more intense than the last. Following it is a more lyrical third section with smoother flow. This section peaks at a (dominant) E major rising fifth, majorly due to the fact that most previous B notes are flat. This is followed by more abrupt phrases, after which the track loops.
