"Rock Star: Stage Select"[conjectural title] is the theme that plays in the stage select for Rock Star.

Composition[edit]

Charting course for the rocky world.

Being a menu theme, "Rock Star: Stage Select" is a short piece, set in G minor and 4/4. Its harmonic basis consists of alternating C minor and E-flat major parallel fifths, thus focusing on the subdominant function. The melody, following its tonic more closely, primarily features stepwise motion, seldom reaching perfect fourths, although often including ornaments. The middle section's melody has more abundant descending motion, and the harmony switches to C major. After the second melody plays twice, the track loops.
