Template:DerivedTitle
Purpose[edit]
This template helps to clarify names that stem from non-English languages, but use localized English terms or names to make them closer to English. This refers places, characters, objects, events, etc. that have an official name in a language such as Japanese, but were never assigned an English name. If the name is a full translation and/or romanization of the non-English name, {{ForeignTitle}} should be used instead.
Usage[edit]
To use this template, type:
{{DerivedTitle|Language}}
Simply insert this template next to the name in question, often located either at the top of an article or at the top of a section. The only parameter (filled in as "Language" in the code above) is to be replaced with the language the title stems from (e.g. {{DerivedTitle|German}} for a German title) or — for Japanese titles — left out entirely; the template will default to Japanese if no language is given.
