"The Wondaria Dream Parade" is the theme for the stage with the same name from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It was composed by Hirokazu Ando.[1]
Composition[edit]
"The Wondaria Dream Parade" is a cheerful theme in A major and 4/4 featuring electronic instruments. It starts with a bright intro consisting of an octave rise and a scale back down. The melody begins similarly to "Castle Lololo"'s, with each phrase ending more in the fashion of "Your Friends Believe in You" (the latter of which was also composed by Hirokazu Ando). Despite many accidentals that bring the music closer to A minor, the major theming remains. The first part plays twice, the second time more quietly. The middle section features a variant of the melody with a significant increase in minor harmonies. However, it grows into an optimistic reprise of the first section in D-flat (C-sharp) major. Following it is a transition with an ornamented higher register and more serious chords. The harmonic changes lead back to A major, where the track loops after a rising chromatic passage.
Trivia[edit]
- This song is very similar to the "Baroque Hoedown", which is the theme song for the Main Street Electrical Parade present in the various Disney theme parks. As Wondaria in general appears to be inspired by said parks, and the Wondaria Dream Parade itself resembles the Main Street Electrical Parade, this appears to be a deliberate homage.
