A '''Checkpoint''' is an object which can be found in ''[[Kirby: Canvas Curse|{{KCC KPP}}]]''. It is a small post with a yellow star in a ball on top. When a character ball passes it the star spins, and many smaller stars start rotating around it (the number of smaller stars quickly goes down to 4). Once active, it will serve as the character's respawn point should they be KO'd and still have some lives remaining.

Checkpoints are typically found in the midst of larger areas in stages. In the event that another one is activated elsewhere in the same area, or if Kirby leaves and comes back through a round-trip [[door]] (doors also function as Checkpoints), a given checkpoint can be activated again. It makes a small dinging sound and wobbles to indicate that it has been activated.
