Kirby's Return to Dream Land,[1] known as Kirby's Adventure Wii in Europe and Australia[2][3] and originally known under its original working title Kirby Wii,[4] is a game for Wii.

It was released on October 24th 2011 in North America,[1] on October 27th 2011 in Japan[5] and on November 25th 2011 in Europe,[2] and will be released in Australia on December 1st 2011.[3]

Story

When an alien spaceship, the Lor Starcutter, crashes on Pop Star, Kirby must retrieve the ship's parts to help the alien Magolor return to its home planet. [citation needed] The Lor Starcutter crashed into a land known as Halchandra. Magolor tells Kirby, Waddle Dee, King Dedede, and Meta Knight to destroy Landia, a group of small, red dragons with a crown. After the crew defeats Landia, Magolor reveals his real intention: to control the universe. He flys away into Another Dimension. Kirby and the others catch up to them, then fight a evil Lor Starcutter. Magolor eventually flies away to the final boss arena. Kirby get there and defeats the boss, killing Magolor. The Lor Starcutter and Landia help Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Waddle Dee escape the dissapating landscape. Kirby and the others find themselves on the ground in Dream Land. After recovering, they see Landia and Lor Starcutter wave good-bye and fly away into another dimension. Finally, they rejoice and go on with their regular lives.

Gameplay

Gameplay returns to that of classic Kirby adventures, in that it is a side-scrolling platform game, and that Kirby is once again able to copy from his opponents' abilities to be used. There are also new abilities like a Whip ability, which seems to be based off of Indiana Jones. The game also supports up to 4 players, playing as Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Blue Bandanna Waddle Dee,[4] each with their own weapons and their own unique feel.[6] It is also possible for each player to instead control a Kirby, however.
