The stage begins in another grassy plain. The path continues to the right past minor bumps and ledges. A [[Gordo]] can be seen bouncing back and forth between the ground and a Star Block. destroying the block will cause it to drift off-screen and out of the way. If not here, then soon, Kirby will come to realize that the Gordo cannot be harmed, and is better avoided in manners such as this. Further down the path, past a small number of enemies, Kirby will encounter a [[Shotzo]] aimed at him. This enemy is also one that cannot be destroyed, and as such, it is better to take the path below the Shotzo to avoid its fire. A [[Sir Kibble]] guards the crevice just past this path, and can provide the [[Cutter]] ability should Kirby desire it. After 'freeing' another Gordo, Kirby will find a [[Warp Star]] on standby at the right edge of the screen. Touching it will take him flying to the next section.
This stage takes place in four primary rooms. The first is a grassy walkway which introduces Kirby to some of the more famous [[:Category:Invincible enemies|invincible foes]] in the series; those being the [[Shotzo]] and [[Gordo]]. Kirby will quickly learn that all he can do is avoid these pests as he eventually stumbles onto a [[Warp Star]] at the end of the path.

From there, Kirby climbs a hill and falls into a flat arena where he must fight the first [[Mid-Boss]], [[Poppy Bros. Sr.]], who will not let Kirby pass until defeated.


After the landing, the path continues to the right up a slope past more enemies. Lying in wait just ahead is a trio of Bronto Burts who, upon spotting the pink puffball, will take off and fly forward in an attempt to get in the way. From there, the slope immediately cuts off into a pit where Kirby must fight a [[Poppy Bros. Sr.]], the first Mid-Boss. Defeating and swallowing him yields Kirby the [[Crash]] ability, though it may not find too significant a use in this stage. To get out of the pit, Kirby will need to deal with another band of Bronto Burts, acting much the same as the first, and from there, can find the door to the next section in an outlet of a large wall.
After passing through another doorway, Kirby ends up in a cave filled partway with water. Here, Kirby may learn that many enemies in fact cannot swim. At the end of this cave, there is an offshoot path that contains a [[Maxim Tomato]] blocked off by [[Star Block]]s. These blocks can be [[Inhale]]d or broken with an ability attack.


The door leads to a small cave which continues to the right past a number of minor enemies. From there, it opens up to a pool, which, while not a significant hazard, can illustrate to Kirby the unfortunate fact that he appears to be the only land-dwelling being who can swim, or even survive underwater. This is made clear when a hapless [[Waddle Dee]] walks off the edge on the right side, falls into the pool, and sinks in total stillness for a second or two before popping like a balloon. From there, the cave continues to the right and down a slope into a larger passageway. A number of enemies inhabit this area, as well as a Gordo that, this time, cannot be made to go away. At the end of the tunnel, it branches into two separate paths. The lower path leads to a Maxim Tomato sealed away by Star Blocks. Even lacking an ability, Kirby can still get this tomato by inhaling the blocks. The upper path leads to the door to the next section.
The last room is a quick switchback cave leading upward. A [[Sword Knight]] guards the stage exit.


The door leads to another cave section, this time in the form of a shaft that leads upwards. The shaft itself is divided into separate rooms, the first of which contains a spike pit in the floor and a ladder leading upwards. From there, past another short climb, Kirby will encounter a [[Sword Knight]], who can grant him the [[Sword]] ability when swallowed. This particular knight guards the stage exit.

Exclusive to ''Kirby's Adventure'', there is a [[HAL Room]] which can be accessed behind the [[Warp Star]]. If Kirby backtracks to the precise point when the Warp Star disappears from view, then returns, the Warp Star will no longer be there, and Kirby will be able to walk further to the right, eventually coming across the star block formation. Unlike later HAL rooms, there are no special items or rewards available in this room, and it is purely an Easter egg. Note that this does not work in ''Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land''; it does work in the ''3D Classics'' version, but the mechanics are altered, making it more difficult to access.
