Basic gadgets (July 14th 2023 - July 28th 2023)
If you're a registered editor on WiKirby, you must have traversed your preferences at least once and seen the Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets tab. We have two gadgets on entire WiKirby: MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition, one of which enabled by default and hidden (shows a link to refresh RC when new changes were made, no reason to disable it) and the other shows :Category:Meta categories which are hidden by default without having the gadget enabled.
I think we ought to buff editor experience with more gadgets available in preferences. I recommend adding HotCat first and foremost (see the info page: :wikipedia:Wikipedia:HotCat), then Purge action (in form of a button in the header, after "watch", to refresh cache of pages), Edittop (adds an [edit] button to edit the just the lead section of the article, without having to load the entire article), Reference Tooltips (when you hover over a reference it shows the source without having to click it and go to the bottom of the article and back to read sources) and Cat-a-lot.
Having all of these added as opt-in, nothing will change for anyone not looking forward to using them or having to disable them. I'm sure wiki support knows gadgets better than I do, but adding them is pretty simple and even I can assist if this proposal passes. 13:21, 14 July 2023 (UTC)

Updating Video policy to allow small official videos (July 4th 2023 - July 18th 2023)
Right now, the wiki's Video policy is mostly focused on trailers and gameplay footage recorded by wiki editors. On that scope, it makes perfect sense and covers well those subjects. However, there are some other kinds of videos that are currently not addressed there, and that I believe we need to address and to allow them to be directly uploaded on WiKirby. That policy was originally written quickly after the wiki's first video file was uploaded, and was set to be reviewed with proposals, so here I am. :P
