Hornhead is a giant rhinoceros beetle-like Mid-Boss with an indigo carapace, four legs with cup-like feet that are larger on the hind legs, and a massive triceratops-like horn for a face with two brown eyes inset. Like an actual beetle, he has wings and can fly, but he tends to stay on the ground most of the time, where he will attempt to ram Kirby or grab him with his horn. Hornhead grants the Beetle Copy Ability when ingested.

Hornhead made its first appearance in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, first appearing in Stage 4 of Fine Fields. He serves as a mid-boss and grants the Beetle ability when swallowed.
