Laser is a recurring copy ability obtained by swallowing the Laser Ball enemy. It allows Kirby to fire laser beams, horizontally only. In every game it appears in, the laser shot bounces off of slanted terrain, and fires upwards. The ricocheted shot is useful for striking any Bomb Blocks above head and other wise blocked from most other ability's hits. The headset Kirby wears while this ability is equipped is similar to the one worn with the Copy ability equipped.

Appearances

Kirby's Adventure

In the ability's first appearance, Kirby fired the laser out of his hand rather than the headpiece introduced in the remake, Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land.

Kirby & the Amazing Mirror

After it's exclusion in Kirby Super Star, the Laser ability returned in Amazing Mirror with the exact same properties of the Adventure/Nightmare in Dream Land version. This Laser shot is rather weak compared to other ability's powers. Many enemies will take multiple hits to be defeated.

Kirby: Squeak Squad

The Laser ability's appearance in Squeak Squad is the first time it could be charged to fire a larger and more powerful shot after upgrading it with a Ability Scroll.
