Medal Swap

Medal Swap is a feature of Kirby: Canvas Curse, comparable to the Collection Room of previous titles. Medal Swap is accessible from the game mode menu and is available for browsing immediately. The rewards are not labeled prior to unlocking. Medals are earned in the main game by simply coming into contact with one. Each stage of each level offers a single, sometimes hidden medal. Rainbow Run courses offer medals based on completion of trial challenges. And the Sub-Games (Block Attack, Cart Run, and Paint Panic) only offer a single medal for "A Rankings" in Level 3 of the challenge. The medals are used in Medal Swap to pay towards the cost of unlocking new Rainbow Lines, Songs, Life Boosts, Special Courses, and character balls.[1]
Menu
The interface of Medal Swap is structured as a long drop-down list. The grey areas denote a reward that has been unlocked for purchase. The field of it breaks up more as medals are spent to obtain the reward.[2] Solid blue fields indicate rewards that require a certain condition to be met before becoming available for purchase.[3][4] The smaller field with a double digit number and appearance of a coin slot is where medals are deposited to pay towards the desired reward. Each tap on the slot costs one medal.[5] Once deposited, medals can not be refunded. The text will not be visible until the item is bought.
