New & Upcoming Kirby Games
Editor's Picks!
Kirby's Dream Land 2 (known in Japan as 星のカービィ2 (Hoshi no Kābī Tsū), Kirby of the Stars 2) is a 2D platforming game for the Game Boy and the third game in the main Kirby series, as well as the sequel to Kirby's Dream Land. Like its predecessors, it was developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. The game was first released in Japan on March 21, 1995 and brought to North America on May 1 of the same year, while Europe saw its release on July 31, 1995. It is notable for introducing three of Kirby's Animal Friends: Rick, Coo and Kine.
Although released for the same system as the original Kirby's Dream Land, Kirby's Dream Land 2 was designed with the Super Game Boy adapter cartridge for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in mind. When played using this hardware, the game makes use of the Super Game Boy's features to present certain scenes in more colors than normally possible and assign different preset palettes to all the areas explored by Kirby, as well as providing a special border showing Kirby and his friends on a green and white checkerboard pattern, which is displayed around the game screen.

WiKirby's Portal to Recommended Downloads
WiKirby wants to share some useful tools for wiki working. Feel free to suggest anything we may have missed. If you aren't currently using any of these, we recommend looking into them at the very least. All are free of cost, easy to install, and even easier to uninstall if desired.
- - Mozilla Firefox offers a few extensions which can make your wiki experience much more efficient. Download the latest version here
- - GreaseMonkey customizes the look of pages with Javascript, needs to be used with WikED and FireFox Download the latest version here
- - GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) is a highly useful image editing software, seemingly complex at first but after a few trials, images can be cleaned, transparent, and cropped easily. Download the latest version here
- WikED- Arguably the most useful wiki editing software in existence. Edit views will highlight templates, coding, images, references, and other text for easier edit mode viewing. Can do text replace, WYSIWYG editor, table creations, proofreading at the touch of a button, and much much more! Download the latest version here
- -Skype isn't wiki specific, but is a useful method of getting ahold of the staff here and discussing things for the site, or Kirby in general. Most people associate skype with voice chatting, but we only use the text chat, since it's free and more effective than IRC, and definitely won't go obsolete in the next 10 years. read more here.
- -Lazarus is a Firefox add-on which automatically stores everything typed into text fields. It's very helpful for when you're wiki editing, because you won't lose anything if your browser crashes or you accidentally leave the page! You can just go back, right click, and open the data with Lazarus! It can be a real lifesaver. Download it here.
