Blockin is a relatively uncommon enemy which disguises itself as a Star Block until disturbed. It debuted in Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, and has since only appeared in Kirby: Squeak Squad, where it served the exact same function. Blockin cannot be inhaled, but it can be defeated using any other means.

When hidden, Blockin is indistinguishable from a regular Star Block. It usually hides in a formation with actual Star Blocks, though often strategically placed to get in Kirby's way. It will remain hidden until Kirby either attacks it or attempts to inhale it. If Blockin survives this initial encounter, it will reveal its face, as the star on its front-facing side is replaced with a set of dour eyes with a heavy brow, a grimacing mouth, and no nose.
