King Dedede is a stout portly blue bird-like creature who wears a kingly robe and hat with a decorated belt and wields a big wooden mallet as his main weapon. King Dedede is also capable of inhaling and hovering just like Kirby, but cannot copy abilities. In modern games, he is often playable, making use of his hammer and girth to fight his foes.

King Dedede is defined by his pride, jealousy, and gluttony.
