The two of them get separated, and Hikari wants Kirby to return her brother to her side. Donbe & Hikari retain their 8-bit sprites from their classic game, like Goku & Chao do.

Super Smash Bros. series

Super Smash Bros. Melee

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Donbe & Hikari appear as a trophy, where their game was originally spelled "Shin Oni Ga Shima".

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Donbe appears solo as a sticker, and upon collection, his game title is unlocked under the Chronicle's Disk System section in the Japanese version.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Donbe & Hikari appear as a spirit that depicts their "Zenpen" artwork for Shin Onigashima. The spirit can be enhanced into their "Kouhen" artwork, in which they appear older.
