'''Festival''' is a single-use [[Copy Ability]] that debuted in ''[[Kirby Star Allies]]''. The Festival ability gives Kirby a captain's hat with a frock of colorful feathers attached to the back. When used, time freezes and Kirby and any [[Helper|Friends]] present will dance, dealing massive damage to all enemies on screen and turning them into [[Point Star]]s once the dance concludes. Festival's power increases if more friends are present to dance.  Once the dance is performed, Kirby will lose this ability.

Festival is the first limited-use Copy Ability to be introduced since [[Magic]] in ''[[Kirby & The Amazing Mirror]]'' - a 14 year gap.

When used with multiple players, it automatically turns into the '''[[Festival Dance]]''' [[Friend Ability]].

Despite not appearing in the original ''[[Kirby's Return to Dream Land]]'', Festival returns in ''[[Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe]]'', where it works the same way as in ''Kirby Star Allies'' (though without the formal Friend Ability designation). [[Magolor]] will also appear during the dance if Helper Magolor is turned on. Magolor may either play an instrument (a trumpet or tambourine) or toss confetti during the dance.

If Kirby is performing the dance while wearing a [[Mask#Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe|Dress-Up Mask]], he will not vocalize at the start, and the mask's unique sounds will be used instead when the dance is finished.

*In [[The Ultimate Choice]], [[Point Star]]s are still created when using Festival on common enemies, even though there is no counter for them. The player has to go out of their way to try this, obtaining the ability during the Yggy Woods fight and then keeping it until a mid-boss ambush.
