Gip is a regular enemy that first appeared in Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. For reasons unknown, it replaces Bounder from the original game, Kirby's Adventure, and is one of the few enemies to replace an enemy from the original (the others being Needlous and Phan Phan). It usually patrols the ground or clings to walls, shooting star-shaped projectiles at Kirby in order to hurt him. It also appears in Kirby Super Star Ultra, where it again replaces Bounder's original appearance from Kirby Super Star; it is one of two replacement enemies in the remake, alongside Capsule J2.
