Have you ridden the turtle-like Gondolus? It will carry you along a river of sand.
— Daroach, in Kirby Mass Attack

Gondolus is a large mechanical enemy in Kirby Mass Attack. It resembles a giant tortoise-like creature made of stone. When the Kirbys encounter it in Sandy Canyon - Stage 4, it eats the door forward, forcing the Kirbys to smash open its back to get inside the creature and use the door it swallowed. This can be done by attacking enemies and slamming them into Gondolus' back. Should the Kirbys fail to do this in time, Gondolus will swim right off the edge of the sand into a bottomless pit, taking the Kirbys with it.

Miscellaneous flavor text

  • "If you ride the Gondolus down the river of sand, you'll see a chest beyond a breakable slab of brown stone. You'll need to bring lots of Kirbys along to break the slab fast enough. Fast enough to then do what? That I don't know." --Daroach, in Kirby Mass Attack
  • "Riding the Gondolus down the river of sand has a fairly, let's say, FINAL end. But if you hang on, you'll see one last flock of Soarars. Get what you want from them. And then get OUT before it's too late." --Daroach, in Kirby Mass Attack
