Gourmet Go Go takes its aesthetic and theme song from the first stage of Gourmet Race (called Pumpkin Grand) in Kirby Super Star Ultra. This stage is a straightforward course which pits Kirby and King Dedede against each-other to reach the end while gobbling up as much food as they can in the process. Unlike the battle stage, the course does not feature Waddle Dees throwing additional food or hazards onto the track.
