This article is about the theme music for Grass Land in Kirby's Dream Land 2. For the level itself, see Grass Land.

Grass Land[Japanese title] is the primary theme which plays in the corresponding level Grass Land in Kirby's Dream Land 2.

Composition

The Grass Land theme is fairly short, with an eight second introductory sequence and a 22 second main portion which loops on itself thereafter. It runs at approximately 128 beats per minute in a 4/4 time signature, and is generated within the game itself using the Game Boy's programmable sound generator. One notable aspect of the song is that the second verse of the main portion is only half the length of the first.

Game appearances

Kirby's Dream Land 2

The theme appears in the Grass Land stage of Kirby's Dream Land 2. It plays during the introductory cut-scene for the level, leading into the first time Kirby visits the level hub, and also plays as the default music within the first three stages themselves. Due to Rick's presence within the level, much of it is played under "Rick's Theme" instead.

Other appearances

The theme was performed live at the Kirby 30th Anniversary Music Festival as part of the Kirby Through the Years: 1993-2004 medley, along with "Drawing Song", "Title Screen" from Kirby's Adventure, "Peanut Plains", "Candy Mountain", "The Last Iceberg", "Heading for 0²", and "Ending" from Kirby & The Amazing Mirror.
