History of Dedede is a musical piece composed by Hirokazu Ando and first appears in Kirby Fighters Deluxe.
History of Dedede is a remix melody of different versions of King Dedede's Theme throughout the history of Kirby series (as of Kirby: Triple Deluxe), thus given the title according to HAL Laboratory developers on Miiverse Q&A.
Composition
This melody consists of retro arrangements of the following themes playing in order:
- Intro of Masked Dedede's Theme;
- King Dedede's Theme from Kirby's Dream Land;
- Boss Battle Theme from Kirby's Adventure;
- Mecha Dedede's Theme from Kirby's Dream Course;
- Masked Dedede's Theme in full (only this section is looped in play).
Game Appearances
Kirby Fighters Deluxe
During the final battle with Team DDD64 on 'Very Hard' difficulty in Kirby Fighters Deluxe, after defeating 61 Mini Dededes, the melody History of Dedede appears together with the last members in the battle: King Dedede himself and 2 orange Combo Dededes.
Due to the absence of Sound Test, this melody can't be found elsewhere in Fighters Deluxe.
Kirby Star Allies
In Kirby Star Allies, the same version of History of Dedede replaces Macho of Dedede when King Dedede is fought on 'Soul Melter' difficulty of The Ultimate Choice. The music change also occurs when fighting Parallel Dedede's first phase on 'Soul Melter EX' of The Ultimate Choice.
History of Dedede can be found as Track 203 in the Star Allies Jukebox as of Version 4.0.0.
