The Sound Test is part of the Sound menu in ''[[Kirby's Dream Land 3]]''; while this menu is available on each file from the start, the option to play music and sound effects is only unlocked after defeating [[King Dedede]], regardless of which ending is obtained. When this occurs, the title of the menu will change from "Sound" to "Sound Test". Music is "BGM" and sound effects are "SFX" in English and "FGM" in Japanese. The game's Debug Menu also has a music player and a sound effect player called "Music Room", it includes internal development names for all the songs and sound effects; these names are stored in ASCII in the game's ROM.
