This article is about the theme music for Mallow Castle. For the stage itself, see Mallow Castle.

"Mallow Castle" (also known as Marshmallow Castle[1]) is a theme from Kirby Super Star that plays exclusively in the stage of the same name, and is one of the only themes in the Dyna Blade game to do so. Aside from appearing again in Kirby Super Star Ultra, it has not been remixed or reappeared in any other game since.

Composition

Kirby and Sir Kibble take a stroll in Mallow Castle's courtyard.

"Mallow Castle" is one of the slower stage themes in Kirby Super Star and has a more relaxed feel to it with a deep bass. The style of the song seems to be influenced by new jack swing. It starts in the key of C minor, but it changes to E flat major in the second portion. The lead part of the first section of this song is played with a horn-like instrument of some sort. After it repeats the first portion (albeit a bit quieter with a different lead instrument), it continues into the second part, where the lead is played on bell-like chimes. When this section ends, it loops back to the first section.

Other appearances

This song accompanies the Kirby: Copy Ability Poll Nintendo 3DS theme.
