You may have seen the Spinwheel Flowers on this island. If you can pluck all of the petals from these spinning flowers, you’ll get something for your trouble. There’s one flower hereabouts that looks like a Spinwheel Flower, but it’s got a dangerous petal. I think one of the medals we’re looking for is inside it.
— Daroach, in Kirby Mass Attack

Spinwheel Flower is a device found in Kirby Mass Attack. It resembles a flower and has a question mark in the center, a winding stem similar to that of a Snoozroot and colorful rotating petals. Most Spinwheel Flowers are harmless and drop fruit when all of their petals are removed, though some disguise a Snoozroot that attacks the Kirbys when unveiled. Another variety has one spiky petal that harms a Kirby when touched. To destroy a spiky petal, the Kirbys must remove all other petals or simply touch the spiky petal while invincible. When defeated, these types of Spinwheel Flowers bear a medal contained within a bubble. Spinwheel Flowers can have either four or eight petals.

Variants

Listed below are the four variants of Spinwheel Flower that can be found in Kirby Mass Attack.

  • Four-petaled Spinwheel Flower - A harmless variant of Spinwheel Flower that drops apples and bananas when destroyed and has four petals, each one conferring 250 points onto the player.
  • Eight-petaled Spinwheel Flower - A harmless variant of Spinwheel Flower that drops apples when destroyed and has eight petals, each one conferring 200 points onto the player.
  • Snoozroot Spinwheel Flower - A variant of Spinwheel Flower that, when destroyed, unveils a Snoozroot which shoots poison blobs at the Kirbys. This type of Spinwheel Flower has four petals, each one conferring 250 points onto the player.
  • Spiky-petaled Spinwheel Flower - A variant of Spinwheel Flower with one spiky petal that harms a Kirbys when touched. The spiky petal is magenta with purple spikes and what appears to be an orange face. This type of Spinwheel Flower yields 300 points per petal.
