Squeaky Hammer Machines[conjectural title] are enemies appearing in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Hence their name, a hammer comes out of the top of their head, allowing them to smash the conveyor belt that Kirby is walking on. The Factory of Shiver Star is the only area to feature them. Kirby cannot destroy them, partially because the robots are in the background. Their hammers can cause an instant death. Squeaky Hammer Machines return in Kirby: Triple Deluxe (more specifically in the Factory Tour stage of the Kirby Fighters sub-game), now with bevel gear in their mouth. The robots now alert the fighters as to when they will attack by belching steam from their mouth.
Trivia
- Squeaky Hammer Machines are referenced in the Guest Star ???? Star Allies Go! subgame, when Adeleine enters Level 5, which changes to reflect Stage 4. Their attack pattern is referenced by a crusher system that smashes the floor in rhythm.
