  1. "ゲームビジュアルデザイナーの上武です。『星のカービィウルトラスーパーデラックス』では主にサブゲームなどのデザイン作業を行っていました。 (I'm Kamitake, a game visual designer. For Kirby Super Star Ultra, I mainly carried out design work for the Sub-Games and so forth.)" –Tadashi Kamitake (2008 HAL Laboratory website diary entry)
  2. Note that the exact year that Kamitake started working at HAL Laboratory is unknown. Papen suggests the year cannot have been earlier than 2005 based on Kamitake's absence from the credits of Kirby Air Ride and Kirby: Canvas Curse. However, even this is not a firm lower bound given cases like that of Tatsuya Kamiyama, who is known to have joined the company in 2006 but was not credited on any game until 2011 with the release of Kirby's Return to Dream Land.
