“ | You know those little plants that are always dozing off? They're Snoozroots. Probably best to mess with them only when they're sleeping. | ” | — Daroach, in Kirby Mass Attack |
Snoozroot is a fairly common type of enemy found in Kirby Mass Attack. It is a plant-like creature which stays in place, consisting of a bud-like head with a bow-like set of leaves, attached to a long vine. As its name implies, it is typically asleep, but when Kirbys draw near, it will awaken, and try to spit at them. Its dark purple poisonous goop will entrap a Kirby if it hits, and if not removed by tapping that Kirby, he will be KO'd. Snoozroot is fairly tough, requiring at least 4 Kirbys to take out in one attack.
All Snoozroots are capable of hanging from ceilings, and all of them (save for Fire Snoozroot) are weak to fire. Some Snoozroots will hide under Jerkweed plants, and one in particular disguises itself as a Spinwheel Flower.
Variants[edit]
There are several variants of Snoozroot, which have varying characteristics. The following table goes over each of them:
Types of Snoozroot in Kirby Mass Attack | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Snoozroot type | First appearance | Description | Points | Notes |
Green Grounds - Stage 1 | The standard Snoozroot, which spits poison at its attackers. | 300 | There also exists an extra-long variety of this enemy. | |
Green Grounds - Stage 2 | This Snoozroot attacks by swelling its head to enormous size, then spitting out numerous globs of poison that rain down on its surroundings. | 400 | ||
Sandy Canyon - Stage 4 | This Snoozroot swells its head, then releases a haze of sand that obscures the player's view. This in itself does not harm the Kirbys, but it can lead to indirect harm from unseen obstacles. | 400 | ||
Volcano Valley - Stage 1 | This Snoozroot attacks by spewing flames at the Kirbys, and some appear entirely engulfed in flame, making them untouchable. These Snoozroots can be rendered helpless by dousing them with water. | 400 |
Locations[edit]
Snoozroot (and its variants) can be found in the following levels and stages in Kirby Mass Attack:
