“ | These are Hot Wings's kids. They'll come after you just like their mom! | ” | — Patch Plaza |
Embird is a small fiery bird enemy which appears exclusively in the Hot Wings battle in both Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn. Embirds are the children of this particular boss, and are conjured by their mother at various points during the fight, flying in a straight line and hurting Kirby if they make contact with him. Embird can be grabbed with the Yarn Whip and thrown back at its mother to deal her damage. Otherwise, Embird can be defeated by attacking it with another yarn ball or a Ravel Ability.
Their name is a portmanteau of the words "ember" and "bird'".
