This article is about the musical theme. For the anime episode with the same Japanese name, see A Recipe for Disaster.

"Ultimate Iron Man, Cook Osaka"[Japanese title] is a recurring theme from the Kirby series that first appeared in [[Kirby Super Star|Template:KSS KFP]]. It received a second segment in the Kirby: Right Back at Ya! anime, which has continued to appear in future games.

Composition

The song is a simple tune that is composed in the key of B flat major. In its original appearance in Template:KSS KFP, only the first half of the song appears, and the song is quite fast-paced, since it appears during a fairly short scene. The second segment first appeared in Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, and slowed the pace of the song somewhat. Later appearances of the song are generally slower-paced and more laidback.

Game appearances

In its original appearance, the song serves as the first half of the opening cutscene theme for Gourmet Race; it is track 25 in the Sound Test. It reprises this appearance in Kirby Super Star Ultra, but also appears in extended form as the Special-Edition Blooper Reel theme, which incorporates aspects of the anime's version of the song. The original song is track 29 in the Sound Test, while the Special-Edition Blooper Reel theme is track 108.

The song appears as the theme for the Mecha Kawasaki boss in Scope Shot, sounding very similar to the anime's version. It is titled "VS. Mecha Kawasaki" (VS. アイアンカワサキ, VS. Iron Kawasaki) on Kirby Star Allies: The Original Soundtrack, and was arranged by Hirokazu Ando. It is track 90 in the Sound Test.

Kirby Star Allies

In Kirby Star Allies, "VS. Mecha Kawasaki" reappears as the theme for the Chef Kawasaki mid-boss battle in Extra Planet α. It is track 95 in the Jukebox and track 3-10 on The Original Soundtrack.

Other appearances

In the Japanese version of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, the full version of the song first appears in A Recipe for Disaster, where it serves as Chef Shiitake's theme. The track appears on Kirby & The Amazing Mirror Sound Plus under the name "Ultimate Iron Man, Cook Osaka", which is the Japanese name for A Recipe for Disaster.

The song also appears as a medley with "Gourmet Race" in The Sound of Kirby Café as track 3, "Gourmet! Carnival / Gourmet Race". This arrangement was done by Jun Ishikawa.
