Beta Elements

How would the Beta elements be covered for the page? Should be under a "Trivia" section or something else? --Stupid Name Guy, Remino52 16:17, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

I'd say just create a Beta Elements section. If you mix it with the trivia section, and the trivia section gets filled with trivia, that might cause a trivia overload. - Edofenrir( talk) 08:22, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Ability Images - Transparency?

Recently made some transparent images for a few combos as I didn't realise we already had all these non-transparent ones in this article and I'm wondering if we should stick with these or use transparent ones. The former can be viewed in the article, the latter would look something like this (on normal background colour & wikitable background):

Clicky link!

The disadvantage with these is that a lot of ability effects are semi-transparent in the game, so if I crop them from screenshots to make them transparent, there will always be bits of the background shining through in the effects (like Stone/Burning's smoke). The disadvantage with entirely non-transparent ones is that, well, they're non-transparent when most similar images would have a transparent background, and they also create an uneven look in the template cells without shrinking them to a uniform size (like they currently are in the article). I'm not really sure what to do here.--Vellidragon 15:11, 19 January 2012 (CST)

I am not sure. The pixelating effect on the models, create fractures in the images that were smooth curves. Personally, they don't look good against the browser's back-coloring. Tacopill 18:17, 19 January 2012 (CST).
Not sure what you mean with "pixelating effect"; these are directly cropped from screenshots and 100% like they appear in the game (apart from the semi-transparent stuff), just with the pixels removed that are not part of the model. Kirby 64 doesn't have smoothing around model contours.--Vellidragon 18:35, 19 January 2012 (CST)
EDIT: To clarify: Semi-transparent areas are the smoke (and other effect bits) of the volcano and minor ones around the dynamite sparks, electricity and tiny snowflakes near the hockey puck. Everything else is 100% unmodified apart from removing backgrounds.--Vellidragon 18:39, 19 January 2012 (CST)
Alright, to clarify: When a 3D model is simplified to a 2D image, pixellating is an inevitable side effect. These are less apparent when the background of the level/area/etc. are also there, filling in the gaps in the pixels. When the background is removed, those holes in the pixels, for me at least, become more apparent, and then the color's of the pixels conflict with the color of the wiki. But that is just my opinion.
