Sword Hero is a great primary role to have that caters to front-line players. Hunters playing as the Sword Hero will find quick, speedy attacks with lots of options. It makes for a great contrast to Hammer Lord in how it can move around incredibly quickly, cornering enemies. Even monsters who fly aren't safe from the Sword Hero, as options such as Twister Slash and Upward Slash allow Sword Hero to touch the sky - and chop enemies to bits. Sword Hero's Guard lasts longer than other roles, and even creates a protective bubble large enough for all of his teammates to enter safely, completely protecting them from all attacks. Sword Hero has by far the largest moveset out of any role in the ''Kirby Clash'' titles.

Hunters playing as Hammer Lord should focus on closing in safely before using the many strong attack options available to knock the enemy into next week. The amount of force behind the fully-charged Hammer Flip makes it the undisputedly most powerful move, before factoring in equipment. The major weakness of Hammer Lord is lowered mobility, both on the ground and in the air. Hammer Lord is the only role to move slower than the others, and also the only one that instantly runs out of hovering time. However, this is accounted for in the Hammer Lord's health stat, allowing the role to withstand the higher danger it's put in.

Beam Mage is somewhat of a one-trick pony, but has high potential when used properly. Hunters playing as Beam Mage will spend much of their time far away from the opponent, often in a corner as they charge up the main tool of the Beam Mage's arsenal: clock-stopping Time Beam. This removes all hurtboxes from an enemy and freezes it in place, and even stops the quest's timer from ticking down, which helps Team Kirby get in as much damage as possible. Beam Mage's next most powerful attack is Beam Blast (Dash+B in the air), which rains diagonally down on the enemy and deals a lot of quick damage, on top of being usable multiple times in a row. Quick thinkers will spend the last few moments of the time freeze charging up another Time Beam, to get a head start on the next time stop once the monster is freed.

*Doctor Healmore's Science Lab can be stored. However, should that character take damage while a potion is stored, the potion will disappear.
**Doctor Healmore using any of the four potions provides an incredibly long invincibility time.
*Team Meteor tablets disappear if left uncollected after a boss is defeated. They cannot be interacted with after defeat.
