A warning[edit]

Hi Waddlez3121. The message you left in MoGoBo97MovieMaker's talk page was rude and improper conduct. Block affairs should be handled by wiki admins, or at least wiki staff, and your message was both rude and minimodding. I know you meant no harm, but to make sure the wiki stays as civil as possible, please let wiki staff handle those affairs moving forward, and don't add fuel to the fire. Thank you. - Gigi (talkedits) 12:07, 23 January 2024 (UTC)

Another warning[edit]

Hi Waddlez. I hate to issue you another warning not soon after your last one, and in particular after I already pinged you earlier on Discord informally about this exact same issue, but since you went ahead and did the same thing again, I have no other choice. Please do not go around on WiKirby creating articles like you have been doing in the past 24 hours. Regarding One of the Miracles, you created it in an extremely stubby state, which goes against the article creation policy. In particular, this page had already a draft page for it (User:Waddlez3121/Sandbox/One of the Miracles), which I see now that you forgot about, but still, a creation of a page in that state should not have happened under any circumstances.

However, this warning is more general about a behavior various staff members have noticed: WiKirby has policies that must be followed, and you often do things your own way instead of following said policies. This is not productive for anyone, as efforts you do will end up having to be rewritten or removed for not following policy, and it creates extra work for other editors to correct what you do that doesn't follow policy. In short, no one wins in situations like this. And communication is key to everything. If you have questions, ask other editors, in particular staff is always willing to answer questions. You are in the Discord server, so it's also easy to reach out to talk to others about what you should do in certain situations. No one expects you to know every policy, but you have been editing the wiki for over half a year now, and at this point you must have gotten an idea of what the editing style of this wiki is like at the very least. If not, I highly recommend you to go over the wiki's policies, which can be found here.

Thank you, I hope this is the last warning we will have to issue to you. Once again, remember that you can ask questions to myself or any other staff member, and even other editors. - Gigi (talkedits) 00:58, 27 January 2024 (UTC)

My apologies for the improper editing as of late. My intent with One of the Miracles's page was to avoid losing session data as I worked on it, but that's no good excuse for a sloppy edit. I understand that good intent doesn't always mean good work, and I'll stick a lot closer to the writing specifications in the future. Thank you for notifying me of my error! On a lighter note, what do you think of the sandbox version of the page? How close is it to mainspace quality? ~ by Waddlez! 01:09, 27 January 2024 (UTC)

About "Project Salsa"[edit]

Hello! This isn't a warning or anything, just a heads-up. I appreciate how much work you've put into this project, but per our user account policy, we don't allow fan fiction as part of one's user page on WiKirby. We'd prefer to keep the info on WiKirby all related to the wiki's scope, even on user pages. I wanted to give you a heads-up that I intend to delete it, but I'm giving you some time so you can move the info off-wiki, to a fanon wiki or a Google document or something along those lines. Thanks! StarPunch (talk) 00:44, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
