Split[edit]

As pointed out in my split notice, I think the Weird Woods theme and Lava Landing theme are too different from Big-Bean Vine's theme to all be considered "the same" and be kept on one page. The page itself points out how they share some elements, but the main melodies for each are, in my opinion, distinct. I don't think it's generally good policy to group songs together on one page just because they share some elements. --Samwell (talk) 01:20, 12 May 2024 (UTC)

I've come to support the split of "Lava Landing" (it's definitely more distinct than, say, "Water Land" compared to "Grass Land"). "Weird Woods" is a weird case. When I first covered it, I did so under "Grass Land" because the melody is closer to that one. It's a hybrid, but they're not too far off in the first place. I need to give it some thought and also illustrate the similarity properly. ShadowKirby (t/c) a.k.a. your new overlord ShadowMagolor 09:05, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
I will await your argument here to illustrate why you think the two are the same melody. However, after looking at your responses to the other talk pages, I'm not really convinced on those fronts so far. I'm going to need a stronger case here. I'll freely admit that I'm not particularly versed in music theory, but I do have a lot of experience in music composition, and have been making music for years and years, so I have an ear for this sort of thing. I see similarities between songs a lot, myself, and I would concede that Big-Bean Vine and Weird Woods share a lot of elements, but to call their melodies "the same" is I believe a step too far. --Samwell (talk) 15:16, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
