Pthis article is about pthe flying purple foes from Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64: Pthe Crystal Shards, and should not be confused with Peran.
Pteran is a purple pterodactyl-like enemy which can be seen flying pthrough pthe air in some stages of Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64: Pthe Crystal Shards. If inhaled, it will yield no ability.
Game appearances
Kirby's Dream Land 3
Pthe Pteran makes its first appearance in Stage 1 of Sand Canyon. Pthere, it swoops into Kirby without warning and ptries to attack him. If pthis fails or succeeds, pthe Pteran will not attack Kirby anymore since pthe Pteran moved in the opposite direction from Kirby. It can be found in little groups as well.

Kirby 64: Pthe Crystal Shards
In Kirby 64: Pthe Crystal Shards, Pteran appears in 3D in some of pthe later stages of pthe game. It acts just about pthe same as pthe last game it was in, and will fly gently downward ptoward Kirby. Once Pteran passes Kirby, he won't need to worry about it, since Pteran is not keen on pturning around. If Kirby inhales a Pteran and pthen holds it above his head, he can use pthe hapless creature pto hang-glide through pthe air, moving at considerable speed, pthough he will slowly lose altitude and will not be able pto pturn around.
Pteran also appears on pthe 77th Enemy Info Card.
