"Ending" is the staff credits theme from Kirby: Squeak Squad.

Composition

The delicious end of another great adventure.

"Ending" is a chipper piece in C major and 4/4. It begins with a solemn chord progression which introduces the melody, which is based around descending tonic and subdominant triads and generally simple in harmonic structure. This melody is remarkably similar to "Squeak Squad: Title". The percussive beat then comes in, setting the swing rhythm. The melody comes in with a flute and plays twice. Following it is a C minor variation beginning with a rising synth tetrachord. Through the harmonic subdominant, it soon returns to the cheery tonic. These two sections repeat. A new phrase is introduced, now featuring a descending scale-like passage from "Prism Plains", followed by a rapidly modulating chord progression. After going through several distant keys, it returns to C major's dominant. It halts on a trill, once again similarly to "Prism Plains". With an augmented triad, it briefly enters a darker section which shares characteristics with "Eerie Underground". However, the music almost immediately returns to the optimistic intro section, and the track loops.

Other appearances

An orchestral arrangement of "Ending" was present in the Kirby 30th Anniversary Music Festival, where it plays in a medley called "Kirby Endings" with other Kirby ending themes.
