How does damage and health work in Super Kirby Clash?[edit]

The site mentions it uses a different damage and health system than the mainline games. Fernandez0907 (talk) 22:25, 29 December 2023 (UTC)

In the Clash series, bosses have thousands of health points, but Kirby attacks are also scaled up. For example, a fully charged Time Beam can do over 15k damage with the right gear, but it will take many, many Time Beams to k.o. bosses. "Threshold" & doubled health interactions with damage reduction[edit]

The current revision of the page speaks of a "threshold" that can be increased with the Morpho Knight Sword's lifesteal property in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. I'm not entirely sure what this means; I think it means the minimum amount of HP required to survive an attack with 1 HP (which is specified by this page as being 20 regardless of difficulty level), though in that case, there should be more data on how and why the threshold is increased (making it easier to die) with that specific Evolved Copy Ability. But seriously, what is meant by "threshold" there?

I'm also wondering how the temporary extra life bars that can be obtained in Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe interact with the "reduced damage taken below certain HP thresholds" mechanic. I'm guessing that no damage reduction happens for the temporary life bars at all and the percentages only account for the player character's baseline max HP (which would make sense, given that they are lost upon depletion and require special effort beyond simply replenishing HP to regain), but it would be nice if someone could check the game data to figure out what happens. --Luigifan18 (talk) 16:03, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
